Chandigarh, June 17, 2025 — The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) strengthened its position in the Ludhiana West by-election as religious leaders from the Valmiki community pledged their support for candidate Sanjeev Arora on Monday.

Baba Jaspal Nath Ji, from Valmiki Teerath Mandir, declared support for Arora at a Ludhiana press conference. AAP MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura joined him. Other leaders, including Surinder Kalyan and Mata Rani Ji, attended. Giaspura thanked the leaders warmly.

Giaspura praised the Mann government’s efforts. It allocated crores for the development of Shri Valmiki Teerath Mandir in Amritsar. He criticized past governments for ignoring Dalits.
