Finally, India launched a retaliatory operation against terrorist organizations in Pakistan. The Indian Air Force conducted airstrikes inside Pakistan and PoK, i.e., Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, after midnight on Tuesday.
In this attack, nine terrorist hideouts in 7 cities were targeted. According to the information received so far, over 100 terrorists were killed.
India’s retaliatory action took place 15 days after the Pahalgam attack and has been named ‘Operation Sindoor.’ This name is dedicated to the women whose husbands were killed by terrorists in Pahalgam on April 22.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja Asif said Pakistan can protect itself. However, if India stops, we will also stop.
Pakistan’s ISPR Director, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, stated that India fired 24 missiles. News agency ANI, citing sources, reported that PM Modi monitored Operation Sindoor throughout the night.
India stated – No attacks were made on Pakistani military bases.
The Indian Army clarified that the strikes targeted only terrorist hideouts, and no Pakistani military bases were attacked. ANI, citing sources, reported that only Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar hideouts were selected as targets.
