Amid the ongoing tensions with Pakistan, three explosions occurred in Pathankot city at 11:50 AM recently. This has plunged the entire city into panic. The area continues to hear the sounds of explosions and sirens. Punjab Police has issued an advisory, urging people to stay indoors upon hearing air sirens.
Explosion in a Village in Hoshiarpur! People Terrified After Hearing the Blast
Pakistan has been carrying out nefarious activities for the past few days. Continuous attacks on India are being conducted through drones. As part of this, an explosion occurred this morning in Sangran village of Hoshiarpur district. In the morning, villagers noticed a piece of a missile lying outside their town.
The villagers immediately informed the Tanda police station. The Tanda police arrived at the scene and took possession of the missile fragment. The SHO of Tanda stated that they received information about a suspicious object in Sandra village. Upon inspection, it was found to be a missile fragment.
They said that the fragment had been taken into custody, and contact was being established with central forces, to whom it would be handed over. They also appealed to the villagers to immediately inform the police if they noticed anything suspicious and to avoid stepping out of their homes to ensure safety.
‘Bomb-Like’ Object Falls from the Sky Near Shahpurkandi
A ‘bomb-like’ object was found in Chhani Muala village near Shahpurkandi, outside government house number 641 in the Ranjit Sagar Dam colony, and at the steel yard of Omil JV Company in Ghoh village, causing panic among the people. Upon receiving the information, Shahpurkandi police station in-charge Sub-Inspector Amanpreet Kaur arrived with her team and assessed the situation. She urged people to remain vigilant.
She stated that these could be shell-like fragments that fell after a drone was destroyed by an anti-air gun, appearing to be a ‘bomb-like’ object. In this regard, the sarpanch of Chhani Muala village, Thakur Dharmendra Singh Sheru, said that around 9:30 PM, Anil Singh, a resident of the Upprela Mohalla in the town, called him, informing him that some strange metal pieces had fallen from the sky inside his house, emitting a smell like gunpowder. Upon reaching the spot, the Shahpurkandi police were informed and assessed the situation. Anil Singh said that around 9:15 PM, a ‘bomb-like’ object fell through the fiber roof outside his house’s door, completely damaging the door. Fortunately, everyone was in one room, or a significant accident could have occurred.
Anil Singh is posted in the Tamang Unit of the Indian Army and is currently on leave at home. He said that around 2 AM, army officials arrived at the scene, assessed the situation, and took the fragments with them. Similarly, a similar object fell in the verandah of Ranjit Singh’s house in Chhani Muala, creating a deep crater in the floor. The charge station appealed to people to remain vigilant. After this incident, people are afraid to leave their homes.
Drone Falls in a Village in Tarn Taran
Around 4 AM, a drone laden with explosives, sent from Pakistan, attacked Dubli village in the border district of Tarn Taran. The residents witnessed the drone circling the town with their own eyes.
A short while later, the drone fell in the fields, and a loud explosion occurred. A crater about 3 feet deep and 6 feet wide was formed in the ground. The villagers stated that they were not afraid of Pakistan’s nefarious activities. They gathered and informed the police and the army. The army cordoned off the area and initiated further action.
