Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labor Minister Anil Vij sharply criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks on Operation Sindoor, stating that Gandhi has insulted India’s three armed forces and the nation itself. Vij demanded that Rahul Gandhi issue a public apology to the entire country for his comments. He further accused Gandhi of using derogatory language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the nation’s hero, calling it nothing less than an act of betrayal. Vij asserted that the people of India should never forgive Gandhi for this offense.
Vij was responding to media queries about a controversial statement made by Rahul Gandhi regarding Operation Sindoor, which Pakistani media have widely covered. A viral poster related to the issue depicted former U.S. President Trump asking Modi, “What are you doing?” while Rahul Gandhi is shown gesturing and saying, “Narendra surrender.” Vij condemned Gandhi’s remarks, emphasizing that India achieved significant success in Operation Sindoor, destroying nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and demolishing several of their bases. He reiterated that using such language against Modi, the hero of this operation, is tantamount to treason, and the nation should never forgive Gandhi for this act.
Addressing a separate issue, Vij commented on the tragic stampede during an IPL victory ceremony in Karnataka, where several people lost their lives. Responding to the Karnataka Chief Minister’s statement comparing the incident to stampedes at the Kumbh Mela, Vij criticized the Karnataka government’s failure to manage the event. He called the Chief Minister’s justification unacceptable, stating that such incidents cannot be excused by citing other tragedies. Vij urged the Karnataka government to take strict action against those responsible for the lapse.
On the economic front, Vij responded to Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi’s claim that talking about a “developed India” without economic progress is mere rhetoric. Vij hit back, suggesting that Priyanka Gandhi might be referring to financial data from the Congress regime. He highlighted India’s progress under Modi’s leadership, noting that the country has surpassed Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy. Vij added that efforts are underway at every level during Modi’s tenure to make India a developed nation by 2047. He criticized such negative statements, calling them attempts to obstruct the country’s progress.
Vij’s remarks underscore his strong stance on national pride, security, and development, while also calling for accountability in the face of negligence and irresponsible statements by political leaders.
