AAP wins big in Punjab Local Body Elections

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has etched its name in history with a resounding victory in the local body elections in Punjab, securing over 50% of the wards among 977 constituencies.

This impressive win reflects AAP’s dedication to pro-people governance and its commitment to transparent political practices,” remarked AAP Punjab President Aman Arora.

Arora took to Twitter to congratulate AAP’s National Convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and all the victorious candidates. “Warm congratulations to Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann ji, and all winning candidates for AAP Punjab’s remarkable success in the municipal elections.

Arora extended his heartfelt thanks to all the workers of AAP for their unwavering dedication, underlining their crucial role in the party’s success. He anticipated that all elected councilors will commit themselves to public service and development.

Arora emphasized the promising results to the press: “In Patiala and Jalandhar, our performance has been outstanding. Although we faced challenges in smaller corporations like Phagwara, the results in Ludhiana and Amritsar are still coming in, and we remain hopeful.”

Arora praised the Election Commission for ensuring free and fair elections, contrasting it with the alleged mismanagement experienced during Congress’s rule. He stated, “Under Congress, elections were a mere farce, marked by extensive rigging and manipulation. We have experienced transparent elections this time, and the people’s mandate has triumphed. Making such a significant leap from zero to this victory is an incredible accomplishment for AAP.”

Arora pointed at the opposing parties, saying, “The Akali Dal and BJP have been thoroughly defeated. BJP’s false sense of superiority in urban regions has been dismantled, and the public has shown them the reality. Congress, Akali Dal, and BJP found recruiting candidates to contest in many wards difficult. AAP had a strong organizational framework to present candidates under its electoral symbol in every ward.”

Arora clarified that AAP’s partnership with Congress within the INDIA bloc only applies nationally. “In Punjab, we have no coalition with Congress. Our struggle was and remains directly against them,” he asserted.

Attributing the victory to Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, Arora expressed gratitude for the relentless efforts of the AAP’s workers, volunteers, and leaders. He assured the public that the party would assess its performance in each ward, focusing on enhancing governance and addressing any shortcomings to ensure future progress.
