The United States, recognizing the urgent need for support, announced an additional $1.25 billion in military aid to Ukraine on September 26 as part of President Biden’s broader security assistance initiative.
This package, drawn from Department of Defense stocks, provides critical weapons and equipment for Ukrainian forces defending against Russia’s aggression.
The assistance, designed to bolster Ukraine’s defense comprehensively, includes a wide range of critical items, such as counter-unmanned aerial systems, air defense munitions, artillery ammunition, air-to-ground munitions, anti-armor systems, and TOW missiles.
It also features demolition equipment, communication systems, training resources, and essential support items such as clothing, spare parts, and transportation services.
Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken reaffirmed the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine and highlighted the impressive collaboration of over 50 nations committed to ensuring Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
