Frankfurt: Bharat Gite, Managing Director and CEO of Taural India, was awarded the ‘Business Icon of the Year 2025’ at the Maharashtra-Europe Business Forum in Frankfurt.
The prestigious award was presented by Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant, alongside MIDC CEO P. Velrasu, Consul General of India B.S. Mubarak, and Eberhardt Steinrücke, former Director General of IGCC, during the Maharashtra Business Day 2025 event.
The forum, co-hosted by the Maharashtra-Europe Business Forum and the Consulate General of India, drew over 500 entrepreneurs and industry leaders from India and Germany to foster cross-border industrial collaboration.
“Bharat Gite’s journey embodies the entrepreneurial spirit we want to nurture in Maharashtra. His work shows how local innovation can shine globally,” said Samant. He announced that Maharashtra has earmarked 500 acres in MIDC for German investors and 100 acres for Non-Resident Maharashtrians to drive industrial growth.
Expressing gratitude, Gite said, “This recognition on an international stage reaffirms our commitment to innovation and global-class manufacturing. Taural India’s journey proves that purpose and persistence can create a global impact.”
Earlier this year, Gite signed a ₹500 crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Government at the World Economic Forum in Davos to establish an advanced manufacturing facility in Supa, Ahilyanagar district, which is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and bolster regional development.
