Faridabad, June 9, 2025 – A joint inspection conducted by the Mining Department (Faridabad/Palwal), Irrigation Department (Palwal), and Enforcement Bureau (Palwal) in Dostpur village found no evidence of illegal mining or any obstruction in the Yamuna River’s flow, countering recent media reports.

A government spokesperson clarified that a newspaper article alleged illegal mining activities in Dostpur near the Yamuna River. However, the inspection team confirmed no such activities were taking place.

The team verified that M/s Darsh Buildinfra Pvt. Ltd., which secured a nine-year mining contract through an e-auction on May 24, 2022, is operating legally with all necessary clearances. Additionally, the Chief Engineer, YWS(S), Delhi, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Haryana, issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) on March 12, 2025, for the construction of a temporary path/crossing in the Yamuna River at Dostpur.

The Mining Officer from the Mines and Geology Department, Faridabad, affirmed that the mining operations comply with all regulations, ensuring no environmental or legal violations. This inspection underscores Haryana’s commitment to monitoring and regulating mining activities to protect natural resources.
