Chandigarh: Haryana’s Financial Commissioner for Revenue and Disaster Management, Dr. Sumita Misra, has issued a directive to all Deputy Commissioners, mandating strict enforcement of property deed registration regulations to curb violations of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975.
Dr. Misra highlighted that some Sub-Registrars and Joint Sub-Registrars have been bypassing Section 7A, which requires a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the District Town Planner (DTP) before registering sale, lease, or gift deeds in notified urban areas. She emphasized that this NOC is a mandatory step and warned that any failure to comply will result in severe disciplinary action against the responsible officials.
