Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched a scathing attack on the Punjab AAP government, alleging it was built on a foundation of lies and has failed to deliver meaningful public welfare. Speaking to journalists in Sangrur, Punjab, Saini claimed the government has not fulfilled its election promises, and its deception, already exposed in Delhi, is now evident in Punjab. He stated that public support for AAP has eroded, with people ready to reject them in the upcoming by-elections.
Saini highlighted that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Haryana has effectively implemented welfare schemes for 11 years, thereby strengthening public trust in the government’s policies. Referencing the Ludhiana by-election, he said Punjab residents want rapid progress under Modi’s vision. He accused the Punjab government of failing to implement central welfare schemes, depriving citizens of benefits. In contrast, Haryana procures all crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), thereby ensuring the welfare of its farmers.
Over the past decade, Haryana has provided over Rs. 15,500 crore in compensation for crop damage caused by natural disasters, Saini noted. Vegetable farmers benefit from the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana, and residents enjoy the Ayushman Bharat scheme, unlike in Punjab. He urged the Punjab government to abandon false promises and work at the grassroots level to deliver benefits from central schemes.
